Presenting Recovery From Grief
Recovery From Grief LLC was formed to help people move beyond loss by learning how to become emotionally complete with their grief due to any of the 40 plus possible losses, including death and divorce. It is the positive outcome from a tragic event in 2002: the senseless murder of the 15 year old grandson of June Lynch and Graham Lynch.
Prior to boarding the airplane to attend the funeral of their grandson, the pastor and an associate pastor of their church, The House of the Lord, Akron, Ohio, gave each of them a copy of The Grief Recovery Handbook by John W. James and Russell Friedman, which offers grievers the specific actions needed to move beyond loss. Reading the handbook in flight gave both June and Graham the specific information needed to understand their resulting emotions were normal and natural; but more importantly, they learned how to effectively cope with the mostly unhelpful statements made by well-meaning sympathizers during their grandson’s funeral, and several memorial services.
After returning home, both June and Graham realized just reading the Handbook was not enough to adequately help them become emotionally complete with the physical loss of relationship with their grandson, so they enrolled in a Grief Recovery Method® GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP program at their church. This GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP program was so emotionally effective and beneficial for each of them that they agreed other grievers would also benefit from the Grief Recovery Method® >> "The Action Program for Moving beyond Death, Divorce, and Other Losses including Health, Career, and Faith."
The inception of Recovery From Grief LLC occurred when June became a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist® in 2004. Later, Graham became a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist® in 2011.
The Grief Recovery Institute recognized June’s sincere commitment and compassionate skills in effectively presenting the Grief Recovery Method® by commissioning her as a Trainer of Certified Grief Recovery Specialists in 2010.
